Encircled Lock

A rusty circle of metal looped over a broken down gate with an old lock still clinging fast, guards the entrance to a farmer's field.

  1. Hi Kateri, That is quite a sensitive photograph. I like the composition and over-all look a lot. The farmer needed to restrict access and hence, that lock. Nothing formidable just practical. Have a really great coming week!

  2. It would take a while to get through that, wouldn't it?
What a good shot it makes, though.

  4. Hi there - that a great image. I like finding things like that as well.

I wonder who it would go in black and white.

Cheers and thanks for the comment.

  5. I like the shot and sense that there is a real story there if we could only know it.

  8. Awesome photo. I don't know about your area, but around where I grew up most fences, gates etc. have been removed to allow farmer to farm every inch of their land.

  11. Kateri,

What fun for me to browse your older posts here, walking with you through tinted skies, beside barns bowed by gravity, and among poetry. Thank you for these glimpses of beauty.
